Golf Course Tour

Hole 1

Par 4

Yardage: 420

This hole is a straight, slightly downhill shot with out of bounds down the entire left side. A large bunker and water hazard guard the front of the large green. A beautiful start to your adventure on their course.

Hole 2

Par 4

Yardage: 375

Just the opposite of the first hole, No. 2 is a straight shot going uphill most of the way and then leveling out the last 80 yards or so. Out of bounds is on the left and a large bunker guards the right front side of the green. Oh, yes, don’t be long!

Hole 3

Par 4

Yardage: 345

Just because it is one of the shortest holes on the course, don’t be fooled. OB on both sides of the fairway and deep rough as well, suggests a long iron off the tee instead of “going for it.” Long hitters can reach the green, but two large greenside bunkers gobble up most shots. Having a short second shot is no reason to relax. OB looms only a few feet from the back of an elevated green.

Hole 4

Par 3

Yardage: 212

A picturesque Par 3, this hole features a large pond meandering up the left side all the way to the green. A large bunker lurks on the right side of a large level green with slight undulation. To top it all off, a large oak tree sits on the left front of the green and is a beautiful sight, but not inviting if you’re trying to hit the green.

Hole 5

Par 5

Yardage: 520

The first of the par 5s provides you with something to think about. It’s definitely a “Go For It” hole, but the fairway is not very wide and a large tree invites many errant shots. If you do manage the fairway, be sure to hit your next shot high so it will land softly. A low runner will not clear the bunker in front of the green. Large mounds behind the green will stop any long shot.

Hole 6

Par 3

Yardage: 183

Getting on this Par 3 green over a large pond and deep bunker is just the beginning here. Putting will be the key to good scoring on this two-tier, very elevated green. From behind the hole, going downhill could be dangerous and putting uphill is no easy task either.

Hole 7

Par 5

Yardage: 557

A dogleg left, this hole is set up for golfers of all skill levels. A long hitter might cut the corner over many mounds, but Irene Boulevard looms all down the left of the hole. Everyone else will want to hit it straight and hope for about a 180-220 yd. second shot to the large green guarded by two large bunkers.

Hole 8

Par 4

Yardage: 402

The tee shot is key on this dogleg left. Hit it straight and have a mid iron in or hit a draw and have a short iron in. Large mounds line the fairway and some trees on the left will offer more of a challenge as they get older. One of the few holes on the course where OB is not in play, but deep rough can grab a ball out of the fairway.

Hole 9

Par 4

Yardage: 449

With trees down the left side and Irene Boulevard down the right, a straight tee shot down the middle is what you want.  Looking to the gtreen from the box provides a very nice view of the Clubhouse in the back drop. The tee shot is downhill and the second shot is uphill to an elevated green.

Hole 10

Par 4

Yardage: 384

Downhill from tee to green, Hole #10 is not a long hole, but is easily one of the narrowest on the course. From the fairway, there is a very scenic view to a large green guarded by a pond and a bunker with Hacks Cross Road in the background.

Hole 11

Par 4

Yardage: 365

Uphill and narrow, this hole has OB up the left side and large mounds on the right. Missing the fairway is not so bad to the right, but to the left you will find the apartments. The green is medium sized and has a bunker on the right front and its elevation makes a long shot come to rest down another hill.

Hole 12

Par 4

Yardage: 436

An elevated tee gives you a full view of this challenging hole. A narrow, yet rolling fairway, with trees lining both sides, comes to rest at a large slanted green that is also backdropped by trees.

Hole 13

Par 4

Yardage: 411

A dogleg left, this hole embodies the idea of large mounds and elevated greens. A relatively easy tee shot is welcomed but a slanted elevated green backed by a large lake awaits your second shot. Standing on the green will give you a full view of Irene Golf and Country Club. Definitely a view you’ll enjoy.

Hole 14

Par 4

Yardage: 421

Another fairly straight hole which makes you think. A straight hitter will pull out the driver but with the trees on the left and the mounds, trees, rough and water hazard on the right, the narrow fairway will be easier navigated with an iron. The Green is deep and fairly level with trees and water to the right.

Hole 15

Par 5

Yardage: 567

You will not only want, but need, a big stick on this long and straight hole. A generous landing area makes the driver a good choice off the long and slightly elevated tee. Few will reach the elevated green and some will reach the deep bunker on the left. Once on this wide green, backed by large mounds, your putting experience will be a challenge due to the undulation. Trees and OB line the entire left side of #15, but rarely come into play.

Hole 16

Par 3

Yardage: 170

A difficult hole to hit, but one of the prettiest to see. A large tee area hits across a large pond and a deep bunker to a wide, but very shallow, level green. Trees and water surround this hole and the green is backed by large mounds.

Hole 17

Par 4

Yardage: 390

Play golf in the trees is what you will experience on this hole.  Once you navigate the trees from the tee box to the middle of the fairway, it is an uphill shot to the elevated green guarded on the left by a shallow bunker.  The entire perimeter is lined with elms, oaks and many other species, making this a very picturesque golfing experience.

Hole 18

Par 4

Yardage: 441

The finishing hole can be rewarding or deadly. A long hitter must be accurate and everybody else must be good with a long iron. The trees on the right split #9 and #18. With a deep greenside bunker on the left side and an elevated green, a challenging finish will bring you back to the Clubhouse.
